Primed & Ready Mattifying Setting Powder

Set your base without a trace with this mattifying setting powder.

Containing skin-clearing Witch Hazel to keep breakouts and shine at bay whilst keeping your base flawless. Wear alone for those no-makeup makeup days or set any foundation for an invisible skin finish.

Gorgeous powder ♥♥♥

PROS :
- light as air,
- super silky to the touch, and on the skin,
- natural finish, neither truly matte nor truly glowy,
- perfectly sets foundation, leave skin smooth (but not blurred),
- does not emphasize pores or lines,
- no oxidizing during the day (after the initial darkening),
- fragrance-free and smell-free,
- generous amount (15 g) for a tiny price.

CONS :
- doesn't control shine that well (but I don't care, let's see the comments),
- darkens upon initial contact with moisture or oil (but doesn't darken further),
- very powdery in the pan,
- no storing compartment for the puff,
- no refill.

COMMENTS :
This is by far the best pressed setting powder I've ever worn.

This is a truly translucent powder that sets the foundation so smoothly it looks like skin, just skin.

The powder is very powdery upon contact, so instead of poking the pan with a brush, I prefer using a puff that I just ever so slightly swirl on the powder.

Upon application, the powder may appear whitish and very powdery, especially if (like I do, because I have oily skin) a lot of powder is used. But don't worry, just brush off the excess with a fan brush, slightly buff the remaining powder with a denser brush, and the whitish cast will vanish and let a semi-matte finish that just looks like healthy skin, with a hint of non-shimmery glow, and feels amazingly silky to the touch.

To counteract any white cast, this powder contains a tiny amount of pigments with a neutral hue (I wish these pigments were slightly more yellow, but the powder is still wonderful as it is). As soon as the skin natural fluids drench the powder (a setting spray can also do the same), these pigments darkens slightly and the non-colored particles in the powder, like talc, starch or mica, become more transparent (thus darker).

Due to its natural finish, this powder does not control shine very well, so I still have to blot with papers.

But, honestly, I don't care this lack of oil control : the finish is so gorgeous on the skin, I freaking LOVE IT ♥♥♥
